5/18/23 - The Soldier's House jumped at an opportunity to attend the veteran's resource fair held at the national military vehicle museum in Dubois, Wyoming. TSH stood with more than 50 other veteran's organizations. Friends of TSH, Mentor Agility partnered with the Wyoming Veteran's commission to host the event and a graduation ceremony for Mentor Agility's Veterans Talking To Veterans program overseen by Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon.
TSH's attendance of the veteran's resource fair served to bring more eyes from across the Wyoming Veteran community to our cause and unique approach. We made contact with great people from all over Wyoming and even our Nation's Capitol. Given that every vendor in attendance shares a common goal of veteran services, knowing of eachother is crucial to providing services that compliment each other, and promoting a larger, connected community of veterans.
Many veterans also attended, in fact according to county 10, around 500 veterans and their families attended the fair. Visibility is one of the biggest obstacles faced by TSH and other similar organizations. Events like this one are crucial for maintaining contact with veterans and battling isolation. One of the best ways to support TSH, outside of donating or volunteering, is to actually tell the veteran in your life about our services.
